CLIENT EXPERIENCE1. MAKE CONTACT WITH ME
Tell me about your project via email or phone. Include info such as your target audience, brand, tone or mood of the script, video concept, music. 2. RECEIVE CUSTOM SAMPLE AUDITION Send me a small portion of your script. I will record a few sentences and send you an audio file within a few hours. 3. PRICE QUOTE & SCHEDULE If you like what you hear, we can discuss the details (budget, file specifications, editing, deadlines, etc.) and schedule a recording session. 4. LIVE-DIRECTED SESSION or TONE/PACING SAMPLES Once the recording session is scheduled, this is your chance to give me feedback on pacing, tone, pronunciation, or anything else. This will be done either during a live-directed session, or through feedback based on audio samples I send you. 5. RECEIVE AUDIO FILES When the recording is finished, I will send either a ready-to-use edited file (breaths removed or reduced, some audio processing) or a raw file (if your team wants to do all the editing). 6. REVISIONS & RETAKES Should your team need to change the script after the final recording has been delivered, one round of minor script revisions is included in the price quote. Of course, any mistakes on my part will be re-recorded free of charge. |
ABOUT ERICA
The story goes that before she could talk, Erica Brookhyser was experimenting with her vocal capabilities...astounding her parents by gleefully gurgling songs without words from her crib. Once the young child could speak, it was evident that she would...well...never stop.
Fast forward a few decades and Erica has grown into an accomplished voice actor with over 15 years of performing experience. She has voiced for The Washington Post, Amica Insurance, Discover, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Thomson Reuters, Nokia, and Johns Hopkins University, among others. From documentaries to eLearning, commercials to corporate videos, and explainers to audiobooks, she's seen (and read) it all. In addition to voiceover, she's also a professional opera singer - a career that has taken her all over the world singing leading roles, and landed her a singing cameo on The Upside with Kevin Hart, and Bryan Cranston. While working in Germany for many years, she managed to talk the ears off of a few Berliners and now she speaks German wunderbar-ly. Prior to that she attended university in Panama, so rattling around her schnitzel and noodle brain is some formerly fantástico Spanish. In addition, she regularly returns to learning Russian, French, and Italian, but more regularly practices her accented English loosely based on those languages. Emboldened by a mic and a Zoom subscription, Erica uses her voice to empower others as a volunteer with Women in Film and Video New England, hosting their monthly Networking Wednesdays events, and as the host of The Warm Up, a bi-weekly voiceover forum. Erica lives in Boston, MA with her amazing wife, 2 rambunctious kitties, and some not-quite-dead-yet plants. |
