VOICEOVER COACHING
Frequently Asked Questions
What level of voice actor do you coach?
I work with beginners through advanced voice actors over Zoom. The scripts, topics, and exercises we cover will be geared toward your strengths, weaknesses, and specific goals.
If you're just starting out, I'll help you build a foundation in voiceover technique and get pointed in the right direction for the audio software and equipment you'll need. So don't worry if you don't have a mic or a sound booth yet - we can work together on Zoom using your computer's mic or earbuds. Depending on what you'd like to focus on, we can explore a variety of genres including commercials, corporate video, documentary, medical narration, eLearning, and telephony. And I'm always happy to throw in some cartoon or video game scripts for fun! |

Did I hear you specialize in Medical, eLearning, and Corporate?
Yes I do. I help voice actors refine their skills to these niches, and target their marketing, so that they can land more voiceover jobs in the Medical/Healthcare, eLearning, and Corporate sectors.

How do I know if coaching with Erica is right for me?
Book a free 15-min Zoom call, so we can get to know each other. Please also send me an email introducing yourself and letting me know your questions and goals. The more information you include in your email, the better I can help. Please email: [email protected]

How do I book a 75-minute session?
You can purchase a single session or a coaching package. In your order confirmation email, you'll be prompted to schedule a session on my calendar.
What is a coaching session like?
When you purchase your session, you'll receive a downloadable script packet.
Prior to our session, take a moment to familiarize yourself 3-4 scripts. In our session, I will ask you to perform a script, and then we'll identify a skill or two that you can work on in that piece. Most likely, we'll pull the script apart, and practice skills on just one or two sentences until you can sense a difference between your first take, and your improved later takes. Then we'll move on to a new script for more fun and discovery. Typically, students read 2-4 scripts in a session, and come away with having practiced the more skillful version of their read several times, so that they feel empowered to practice those skills on their own. After the session, I will email you a copy of my notes from our coaching, as well as recommended homework geared towards your personal goals and skill-building path. |
